Mr. David Castelo
David is an accomplished professional with 26 years of solid experience in pharmaceutical/medical device Clinical Research and Management both at national and international level. His strong leadership qualities, and his milestone-driven planning have enabled him to lead multidisciplinary teams. He has a proven track record in creating value through commercial and reimbursement approvals in complex Cardiovascular/Electrophysiology, Orthopedic Cartilage repair/regeneration and Dermo/Exo skeleton medical technologies.
As Director Clinical Affairs, David is responsible for defining the vision and clinical strategies that support B-Temia’s product development and commercialization objectives. He leads the design and successful execution of clinical trials that demonstrate medical product safety and efficacy, and he ensures that the trials are conducted in full compliance to GCP and all other applicable regulatory requirements.
In the first 12 years of his career, David acquired his expertise while working in various disciplines within the Pharmaceutical Contract Research Organization field. He was involved in all stages of clinical studies, from participant recruiting, screening, execution of Clinical studies, to training of new Clinical Managers, QC, QA, PK/PD (protocol and study design) and Business Development/Project Management client accounts.
14 years ago, David transitioned from the Pharmaceutical Clinical Research field to the Medical Device Industry where he applied, refined and acquired in-depth knowledge of medical technologies related to Cardiovascular/Electrophysiology, Orthopedic Cartilage repair/regeneration and Dermo/Exo skeleton.
Throughout his career, David has travelled all over the world and thus became a polyglot (English, French, Portuguese, and Spanish).
